Crehan Musical Instruments is run by Kieran Crehan helped by his sister Fionnuala and two instrument repairers: Martin Kubis a Luthier from Slovakia and Jose Gandara a Luthier from Sevilla.
Kieran’s musical training began at the tender age of 5. With ten children playing instruments Vincie, Kieran’s father, soon decided to open a musical instrument shop! It all began in a room from the family home.
Kieran joined Vincie in 1980 after studying violin making in the Royal College of Furniture in London – he began repairing and restoring instruments.
Kieran, with his brother Niall, continued working from the family home until 1997 when they moved to their present location – pictured right – in 6 Carberry Road, Drumcondra. They supply orchestras, schools, teachers, pupils and mail-order clients from across the world
