I am currently studying for my Higher Diploma in \\\’Music Education\\\’ at Griffith College Dublin. Playing and Teaching the Saxophone is my passion. My playing experience varies from filling in with local rock/ blues/ funk bands to regular performances with my ensemble throughout the nation. I am also the resident Tenor Saxophonist for \\\”White Magic\\\” a Dublin based Soul/Funk/RnB band. I am predominantly a self taught musician, although I have studied jazz performance formally at Newpark School of Music (Dublin, Ireland) I also hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth.

In college, Karl is the only ever graduate to have majored in Violin Pedagogy at Graduate level from the prestigious Cork School of Music, having specialized in Galamian/ deLay/teaching methods alongside with established conventional methods. This led to Masterclasses and Teaching Workshops with renouned teachers from Norway (Sigherd Imhsem), France (Christopf Bossaut), the U.K (Barbara Barber). Over many years, Karl has been consistantly studying the Art of Violin, from Baroque techniques to the \’French\’ and \’Russian School\’ and incorporates many of these traditions into his own teaching. Karl has been teaching violin in Ireland and the U.S.A over the past 11 years and teaches pupils of all ages from the very beginning all the way to the requisite standard required to study violin performance at under-graduate level in the U.K\’s and Ireland\’s top level music institutions.
