Ruby Spilsbury is the heart and soul behind Ruby and The Night Hawks. The Cork City-based singer, songwriter and pianist hosts and eclectic mix of influences as diverse as Jim Steinman, Bonnie Tyler and Pink, with a mix of R&B shining through in the music.

Ruby continues to work hard with her newly formed band \’The Night Hawks\’ which has commenced a new, fresh and ultimately full writing perspective.

THE MAN HIMSELF

Derek Ryan hails from Garryhill in Co. Carlow. He began gigging locally at the tender age of 12. Following years of performing on the big and small stage alike, at 26 Derek is now a seasoned professional. As former lead singer of Irish boyband D-side, he has several meteor award nominations to his name, a multi-platinum selling single ‘Real world’ right here in Ireland, adding to his 3 top 10 singles across the water in the UK.

Live TV appearances include Top of the Pops, The Late Late show and GMTV.

Returning to Ireland in 2009, after several years of gigging on the London function scene, Derek became a member of the the legendary Miami Showband for selective dates around Ireland, following in the footsteps of the great Dickie Rock, before deciding to venture into creating his own show.

Complimented by his talented band, Derek draws on his vast experience to date, to provide for you one of the freshest and enigmatic performances available in the country at the moment.
