ALL ABOUT ACCORDIONS is run by Sean Garvey, Accordion Player and Accordion Builder, based in Walkinstown, Dublin, Ireland. Sean has been working with accordions since the 1990′s and displayed his own accordions at the ALL IRELAND FLEADH CEOL in listowel in 1996

Sean Garvey from Dublin is from a west of Ireland family who play Traditional Irish Music. Sean plays mainly Traditional accordion now but enjoyed playing Cajun, Bluegrass and Rock N Roll with the Cajun Kings and the Wilf Brothers and the Philip Donnelly Band etc.

He made Melodeons back in the 90′s as a hobby and gradually started tuning and repairing and then importing a wide range of accordions.

He works closely with the Paolo Soprani company and initiated the replication of the old Grey Paolo Soprani of the late 40′s.

Sean is interested in making Quality instruments available to players from quality starter accordions to help the beginner player [see Garvey AAA] as well as hand made finished top of the range box for the professional.[see Classic series ]

Sean feels the necessity to offer the accordion player the best in design incorporating quality reeds which will last. He works closely with teachers and as an experienced player himself, will help the musician/ player to select the most suitable box from the range.

AT PRESENT SEAN IS WORKING WITH HIS NEPHEW MAKING THE NEW ” DUBLINER ” CONCERTINA IT IS AVAILABLE NOW OFF THE SHELF IN CHERRY, WALNUT. ROSEWOOD AND WHITE MAPLE.
